JAYASENA - MANEL Wife of Henry Jayasena, mother of Sudaraka, mother-in-law of Anoma, sister of Raja (Melbourne), sister of (late)  Linda, grandmother of Randira and Hansaja, expired. Funeral will take place on Monday the 26th at 5 p.m. at the General Cemetery, Borella. Cortege leaves residence 27/9, Pepiliyana Road, Nugegoda at 10 a.m. on the 26th and will be at the Art Gallery till 3.30 p.m. 

NANAYAKKARA - DR G.D.K. (formerly Head of Dept. of Philosophy - Peradeniya and Old boy of Royal College), died on 24th and cremated at the Battaramulla Cemetery on 25th according to his wishes. 77, Subodhi Mawatha, Battaramulla. 

UDAWATTA - KAMAL (Manager - Pettah Branch, Standard Chartered Bank). Beloved husband of Gavitha (Standard Chartered Bank), son of Premawardena and Rohini, father of baby Tharini Nadeera, expired. Cremation at General Cemetery, Homagama on  Monday 26th at 5.00 p.m. 25/2, Athurugiriya Road (Galavila Road), Kottawa, Pannipitiya. Intimated by brother, father-in-law, mother-in-law and brother-in-law of Kamal.  

AMARATUNGA - HARSHA KUMARA the 2nd son of Concy and the late Amara Amaratunga, brother of Narada, Thivanka, Senaka and Charika. Departed this world early to be with The Lord. Cortege leaves A.F. Raymond's Funeral Parlour at 5.00 p.m. on Monday 26th July. Burial at the General Cemetery, Kanatte (General Christian Section). 

JAYANETTI - VINITHA nee ABEYGUNAWARDENA Dearly beloved wife of Gamini (Retd. Mang. Water Board), beloved mother of Prasad, Saliya, Thusitha, Ranmali and Sanjeewa, beloved mother-in-law of Indika, Elvi, Tamara, Tissa and Sakunthala, expired. Burial at Beddagana Cemetery 26th July. Cortege leaves residence 4.00 p.m. No. 15/1, Ananda Balika Mawatha, Pagoda, Pitakotte. 

JEGATHEESAN - ELIZEBETH (LANCHY) nee BASTIANS Beloved wife of late J. Jegatheesan, loving mother of Rajini, Rajily and Jeran, mother-in-law of Ronald and Suraj, most loved grandmother of Krithika and Rishen, sister of Sam (late), Robert, Ranee, Kingston, Sundar, John (late), Peter, Stanley, George and Daniel, sister-in-law of Saro, Ira, Sathy (late) Betsy, Usha, Srima, Caval, Nimalka and Maurine. Dearly beloved son of late Camillus & Alexia, loving husband of Yamuna (Isabella), beloved brother of Jude, Aruna (USA), Shantha (Italy), Marie & Patrick, brother-in-law of Bertram (Shaw Wallace), Laxmi,, Victorine (USA), Nishanthi. Burial at Kadolkelle Cemetery on Tuesday 27th July 2004, at 4.00 p.m. 107/10, Miraj Housing, Nicholas Marcus Mawatha, Negombo. Tel. 031-2220940. 

THANALUCKSHMY KANAGASABAI of Station Road, Thellipalai. Widow of late Moothathamby Kanagasabai, mother of K. Thillainathan, formerly of Commercial Bank Past District Governor, District 306B, Lions Clubs International, mother-in-law of Seethapathy (Seetha), grandmother of Lathika (UK), Renuka (Seylan Bank) and Karthika (Staff Gateway - Presently in UK), passed away peacefully on 25.07.2004. The remains will be kept at Jayaratne Funeral Parlour, Borella, for paying last respects from 8.00 a.m. on Monday 26.07.2004 and removed for cremation at 2.00 p.m. at the crematorium, General Cemetery, Borella.
