by Sarath Malalasekera A special police team attached to the Panadura Police Division arrested 77 suspects allegedly involved in selling heroin and illicit liquor during the week-end. The special police team deployed by Panadura Senior SP Kithsiri Dayananda comprised 20 Inspectors, 20 Sergeants and 56 constables. The suspects were arrested from Panadura, Horana, Wadduwa, Bandaragama and Moragahahena police areas. The suspects will be produced before the respective Magistrate Courts today. Senior SP Dayananda said 33 more suspects wanted in connection with a number of illegal activities are evading arrest. |
