Regional coconut auction to be held at Kuliyapitiya The Coconut Development Authority (CDA) in association with the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL), assisted by the Coconut Cultivation Board and the Sri Lanka Coconut Producers' Co-operative Society Union Ltd. will conduct the "Regional Fresh Coconut Auction" on July 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Siri Madura, Kuliyapitiya. The Federation of Associations of Small and Medium Enterprises of Sri Lanka, an affiliated body of NCCSL, comprises Associations of Small and Medium Enterprises in 15 districts in Sri Lanka. CDA organised this event with the cooperation of the Puttalam District Association of Small and Medium Enterprises and Kurunegala District Association of Small and Medium Enterprises. The objective of this event is to expand the coconut auction at regional level for the benefit of the coconut producers, growers, suppliers, buyers, desiccated coconut millers, coconut oil millers and shippers, copra manufacturers and shippers, fresh coconut shippers and dealers in fresh coconut and copra. Minister of Plantation Industry Anura Priyadharshana Yapa will be the chief guest. |
