Ladies Bogey and Rose Bowl golf Both, the Ladies Bogey golf competition sponsored by Lankan and, the Asoka Glass Co. sponsored Ladies Rose Bowl foursomes golf tourney - is progressing concurrently at the Royal Colombo Golf Club course. In the preliminary stage of the 'Bogey' Yvonne Abhayaratne forged ahead with 95 points, followed by Fran de Mel 60 pts., Kishani Vetherinayakam 58 pts, U. de Silva 57 pts and H. R. Bang 56 pts. In the Rose Bowl, a second board event in the calendar of Ladies Golf at the RCGC, a foursome with three rounds - saw Sumi and Nesha Nirmalingam beat A. Senadheera and K. Vetherinayakam in the second round Nilo Jayatilleke and R. Sangani received W/o Heather Lourensz and Thiru Jesudasan, J. Dias and S. Selvaratnam current title holders beat M. Jayakody and M. J. Kim 8/6, H. R. Bang and U. de Silva beat S. and N. Nirmalalingam 8/6, D. Senadheera and K. Rempel beat K. Herath and S. Gunasinghe 4/2. And now into the semi finals Nilo Jayakody and S. Sangani will meet J. Dias and S. Selvaratnam while H. R. Bang and U. de Silva will play with D. Senadheera and K. Rempel. |
