Millennium women's soccer team to tour Germany Millennium Women's Football Club, Wennappuwa will tour Germany in November, 2004. The women soccerites from Wennappuwa will play matches in Munich, Nuremberg, Regensburg in Southern Germany during their three week tour. The tour has been organised by the Asian German Sports Exchange Programme to give the Wennappuwa women soccerites the much needed foreign exposure which would stand them in good stead when taking part in local tournaments. The tour co-ordinator is Sabine Schrama a student volunteer of the AGSEP who has obtained the assistance of the German Football Federation to organise the matches. She is being assisted by Tina Barczik and Annett Heinrich both from Germany. The German teams who will play against the millennium team are expected to make reciprocal visits to Sri Lanka at the end of the year. |
