German to train local Karatekas

The Sri Lanka Karate-Do Federation has organised a two-day training programme to be held at Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium on June 23 and 24 commencing at 9 a.m. on both days.

According to President of Karate-Do Association Anura A. Kathriarachchi this programme is conducted by Guntha Mohr National Karate Instructor in Germany. This programme will be used as a yardstick to select a national pool to undergo training in preparation for the forthcoming SAF Games 2005 in Sri Lanka.

According to President Sri Lanka has produced many international level Karatekas. Guntha Mohr is expected to train these Karatekas on new methods what has been introduced to the game recently which will be of immense value to our martial artists.

Karatekas affiliated to the federation are eligible to attend this programme which is given free of charge. All interested are invited to attend this training on these days.(BP)
