Lankan honoured at international marketing convention ACPM President Ajit F. Perera had been invited to the International Marketing Convention to be held in Manila, Philippines, on July 7 and 8 as keynote speaker.
A former Vice President of the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM), he also serves in the Committee of the Ceylon Chamber, the Campus Board of the University of Colombo and the Hospital Committee of the De Soysa Hospital for Women. The International Marketing Convention is being held to celebrate the golden anniversary of the Philippines Marketing Association, which was launched by President of the Philippines Gloria Arroyo. Led by the President of the World Marketing Federation (WMA) Hermawan Karthajaya. Over 1,000 delegates from worldwide locations would attend. This is being held in association with the APMF and the WMA which comprises the four key Federations, European (which includes the CIM), American, Latin American and Asia Pacific Marketing Federations and is the biggest event in the World Marketing Calendar for 2004. A Sri Lankan delegation of 15-20 Marketers are planning to attend. |
