Jackie Dias takes Ridgeway cup by Richard Dwight Jackie Dias having won the Preliminaries of the ladies 'Ridgeway Cup' golf competition, did well to forge ahead through the guarter and semi final stage, to meet N. H. Yoon in the finals of this prestigious board event of the ladies section of the RCGC sponsored by the Metropolitan group of companies. The finals saw Yoon with a handicap of 12 to Jackies 5 lead on the first two holes to be 2 up. Yoon held on to this lead right up to the 9th hole. Jackie however took the lead with a par on the 11th going on to birdie on the 12th and parred the rest to win 5/3 on the 15th hole. Jackie Dias was the defending champion having won the title last year as well. The referee of the match was Willie Barsenbach. |
