Nawinna by Ariyapala Wansatilake, Kurunegala Central Special Correspondent Minister of Regional Infrastructure Development, S. B. Navinna was on an official visit to the Wayamba Regional Development Ministry yesterday morning. The Wayamba Regional Development Chief Secretary received the Minister. Under the United People's Freedom Alliance Government, Kurunegala district will see rapid improvements and it is the duty of the officials to see that the deadlines are met, he said. Minister also said: "We have a proper plan to develop the Wayamba. Time has come to work not only for Wayamba but also for the whole country without wasting time. The government hopes to improve the drinking water facilities by 70 percent during its tenure in the Kurunegala and Puttalam districts. My next plan is to re-establish the neglected industries in the Kurunegala district. I request the public servants to assist, implement the programs of the UPFA government for the benefit of the country and its people," said the Minister Navinna. Deputy Minister of Highways, T. B. Ekanayake, Deputy Minister of Environment, Bandula Basnayake, Deputy Minister of River Basin Development and Rajarata Development, Salinda Dissanayake also participated. |
