If they hold it for positions and prestige of course they lose its purposes and the masses are being cheated. Therefore, I appeal to you all to co-operate with me to execute my ministerial duties to achieve this goal. I always keep it in mind that this portfolio is given to me by Almighty God on his willingness and this may go off from me whenever he desires." So said Minister of Housing and Construction Industry, Eastern Province Education and Irrigation Development Ferial Ashraff at a public meeting held at Benzene Square in Ferial Beach Road, Akkaraipattu. Minister Ferial Ashraff and Deputy Minister of Information and Media Cegu Issadeen participated in a public reception accorded to them by Akkaraipattu Cegu Foundation along with the other Social Welfare Organisations including the three Jumma Mosques.
