Sambandan has filed a special leave to appeal in the Supreme Court against the District Court order issued on March 10, 2003 and the subsequent Court of Appeal Order. The plaintiff-defendants R. Sambandan and Joseph Pararajasingham have cited the TULF Chairman V. Anandasangaree as the sole respondent. The plaintiff-respondents state that they complained to the Colombo District Court seeking an enjoining order restraining the Central Committee meeting scheduled to be held on December 21, 2003 in Tirukovil, Ampara. Considering the application, the District Court made an Interim Injunction against R. Sambandan and Joseph Pararajasingham to hold the meeting. Aggrieved by the verdict, the plaintiff-respondents appealed to the Court of Appeal to set aside the DC Order but the CA rejected the application. They state that they made this application in the Supreme Court against the CA order and the DC order. The plaintiff-respondents pray that notice be issued on the respondents and special leave to appeal may be granted to their application. |
