CP U-19 in 10- wkt win by S. M. Jiffrey Abdeen, Kandy Sports Corr. Sri Lanka junior national player Kosala Kulasekera had a matchbag of 7 for 55 to Spur Central Province Cricket Association's under-19 team to a facile ten wicket win over the visiting Caloundra Cricket Club from Queensland, Australia in their two day match played at the Asgiriya Stadium yesterday. The Central Province team continuing their overnight score of 237 for 4 declared their innings closed at 334 for 7 with Madhuranga Munaweera scoring an explosive 68 with 10 fours. Medium pacer John Sleeman bowled best to capture 4 for 54. Facing a deficit of 214 the visiting team battled hard to save the game but were dismissed for 232. The Central Province hit off the runs required to win without losing a wicket. Caloundra CC 130 and 232 all out in 62 overs (Jon Meuleners 45, Anthony Reid 37, Christopher Howe 34, Stephen Shaw 33, Curtis Menegal 22, Kosala Kulasekera 2 for 17 , Amal Ekanayake 3 for 102, Mufthi Muneer 2 for 30, Eranga Gangoda 3 for 32).
