Death of Rev. Fr. Francis Fernando

The parish priest of St. Annes church Wattala Reverend Father Francis Fernando passed away last Saturday, at the age of 76. Francis Fernando had rendered a valuable service to the Wattala parish.

He commenced his service to the Calholic community as an assistant parish priest at Kalamulla - Kalutara.

As a parish priest he served at St. Lucia's Cathedral, Kotahena, Kandawala, Kimbulapitiya, Kalamulla, Pannipitiya, Pitipana, Moratuwa and Wattala.

The funeral will take place today, Monday, April 19 at 3.30 p.m. at St. Annes church Wattala. The funeral service will be conducted by His Grace Archbishop Dr. Oswald Gomis, the assistant parish priest Reverend Father Samantha Corera told the Daily News
