'Inco 2004' trade fair to reach international markets

"Inco 2004," the industrial and trade fair organised by the Institution of Incorporated Engineers, Sri Lanka (IIESL) will be held at the BMICH from June 25 to 27. The customer-focused exhibition will be held for the second time in concurrence with the 26th Annual sessions of the IIESL.

President of the IIESL Eng. B. K. Ulluwishewa said the exhibition would provide an opportunity to exhibit products and services to local and foreign visitors. "This also would be a good opening for large, medium and specially small-time local manufacture's to find partners to reach out to international markets, specially in the highly populous and fast developing region," he said.

"Engineering seminars, workshops, culinary demonstrations, quiz competitions, awards for best locally manufactured products, awards for the most dynamic display, most artistic display, and for best locally assembled product and many other awards for best demonstration, most innovative display, best display by service sector would be given," he said.

Sri Lankan products and service such as electrical, mechanical, civil and automobile engineering products and services, refrigeration and air conditioning, electronics and telecommunication, computer application, textile technology, aviation and marine engineering, hire purchase schemes, leasing and financial service and educational institutions will be displayed at the event.

'Incorporated Engineers' are directly involved to manage and supervise the numerous construction, operational and maintenance aspects of the industrial, technological and other development activities in Sri Lanka.

The manufacturers and the customer would be able to meet senior decision-makers to enhance their products," he said.

IIESL is the only body in Sri Lanka affiliated to the SAARC forum for Regional Cooperation among engineers and technical officers.

The institution conducts regular educational and training programs for the continued professional development of its members and other programs to the public to keep them abreast of the latest development in technology.
