CCC to sign MoU with Indo-German Chamber of Commerce A trade and investment delegation from the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) led by Bernhard Steinruecke, Director General, IGCC will be visiting Sri Lanka for the first time on a business mission. The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) has organised a meeting to enable the local business community to establish contacts with the delegation today at 2.30 p.m. at the CCC, Board Room. The IGCC is considered to be a reputed chamber in the world with a membership of over 6,500 and their investments in India are significant. Officials of the Ceylon Chamber are due to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with their counterparts in the Indo-German Chamber during this meeting to promote trade ties between the members of the two chambers. According to the Chamber spokesman, this is the first occasion that the CCC will be signing a MoU with a German counterpart and they look forward to closer co-operation between both organisations. The delegation comprises the Chairman of A.T.E. Marketing (Pvt.) Ltd., marketers of a diverse range of engineering products, Textile Machinery and Accessories; Web-handling Equipment; Graphic Equipment and Consumables; Pumps; Electronic Control Panels and Automation and also Cast and Machined Components, the Managing Director of Fuchs Lubricants (India) (Pvt.) Ltd, a leading producer and supplier of automotive oils and industrial lubricants, the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of EBG India (Pvt.) Ltd., which trades in cold rolled electrical and mild steel and also Joint Managing Director of SAP Labs India (Pvt.) Ltd. engaged in collaborative software engineering that facilitates the delivery of innovative e-business solutions. The trade mission is being coordinated by Stefan Mahrdt, Chief Country Officer of Deutsche Bank in Sri Lanka. |
