Conditional SLMC support for UPFA

Sri Lanka Muslim Congress Leader Rauff Hakeem has extended his parties conditional support to the new Government, while sitting in the Opposition, the former Minister revealed at a meeting with Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakse on Wednesday.

He had expressed the same view to Norwegian Ambassador Hans Brattskar when he met him yesterday.

SLMC leader Hakeem and Ambassador Brattskar have had discussions on the political developments in the country and also on the future of the peace process.

He met a delegation from EU countries and also discussed political developments with them yesterday.

The delegation was led by Netherlands Ambassador Susan Blankhart.

Hakeem has had discussions with CWC leader Thondaman and Jathika Hela Urumaya General Secretary Ven. Uduwe Dhammaloka Thera.

He met former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday to discuss the agreed national seats.
