Nayake theras want PM to take charge of Buddha Sasana Ministry

Ven. Galagama Attadassi Thera, Anunayake of Asgiriya Chapter and Ven. Keppeliyagoda Sirivimala, Viharadhipathi Getambe Sri Rajopawanaramaya expressed their desire to have the Buddha Sasana Ministry brought under the Prime Minister, when Prime Minister, Mahinda Rajapakse called on them at Kandy on Wednesday.

"Buddhism was forced to undergo various trials and tribulations during the last few years.

It is the need of the hour for a true Buddhist leader to hold the office of Prime Minister, stressed the Nayaka Theras.
