SLCBCC leads Canton fair delegation The Sri Lanka China Business Co-operation Council (SLCBCC) affiliated to The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka will take a business delegation to the People's Republic of China to participate in the Canton Fair. Founded in 1994, the Sri Lanka China Business Co-operation Council is the largest and oldest Business Council ever established in Sri Lanka to look after the interest of the Sri Lanka business community dealing with China. The delegation includes members from Pratel Consultants, Rashmi Oven Manufacturers (Pvt) Ltd, Peak Textiles (Pvt) Ltd, JSW Apparels, Mackwoods Ltd, UTS Enterprises, FMJ Plastics (Pvt) Ltd, Chemanex Ltd and Brilliant Apparels (Pvt) Ltd. Most of the delegates will participate in the first phase of the Canton fair which will be held from April 15 to 20 and would negotiate for raw materials, machinery and tools, electronic and electrical appliances, textiles and garments, native products, animal by products, medicines and health products. A few members of the delegation who are interested in houseware, gifts, decoration items. office supplies and outdoor activities equipment will stay for the second phase as well. The second phase will be held from April 25 to 30. In addition they will hold discussions with the counterpart chambers in China with regard to the promotion of trade between two countries. This is the fourth Chinese delegation organised by the Sri Lanka China Business Co-operation Council. The Business Council is also planning to have a Chinese Products Exhibition at the BMICH in August. The delegates to the Canton Fair will have discussions with the group of businessmen from Nanjin Province of China who will participate in the Chinese Products Exhibition. |
