Munneswaram group correspondent An Industries Ministry pajero jeep bearing No. 64-3202 used by former Minister Rohitha Bogollagama, despite the ban on the use of State vehicles for election work, was taken into custody by Koswatte police from a garage at Kirimetiyana, Wennappuwa on Monday. Investigations revealed that the vehicle, in a state of disrepair, had been left in the garage. Since no one had turned up, the garage owner had informed Puttalam district MP Milroy Fernando about the unclaimed vehicle. The vehicle had been used for election work by Bogollagama, investigations revealed. The vehicle is in Koswatte police custody. |
