By 2050, India will be the world's second largest economy with a GDP of
US$30 trillion. This will position the country between two other economic
giants; China, which will be in first place, and the United States which
will take two steps down to the third rung. By then, India would have
overtaken China as the world's most populous nation with a staggering 1.6
