Memorial mass for soccer maestro Albert Fernando

The fourth death anniversary of the late Albert Fernando falls on Thursday, April 1, 2004.

Fernando was an eminent old boy, soccerite, teacher and soccer coach of St. Benedict's College. In addition he also coached prominent soccer teams like Old Bens SC, Cambridge SC, Ratnam SC and Renown SC. He was an outstanding soccer coach of the Sri Lanka national team for long years and has produced many champion teams. He also excelled as a national and international sports journalist.

A memorial mass in thanks-giving for the life and services of Fernando will be offered on Thursday, April 1 at 6.00 p.m. at St. Lucia's Cathedral, Kotahena.

All those who wish to join us in praising the Lord for our beloved Fernando are kindly requested to assemble at the church yard at 5.30 p.m. on Thursday , April 1.
