Opportunity to show gratitude - Mervyn J. Cooray

Panadura group correspondent

Mervyn J. Cooray, the former state minister for power and energy and UNF candidate said the opportunity has come for the voters in Panadura electorate to show their gratitude by electing him as a UNF Parliamentarian for Kalutara district at the forthcoming General Election because when he was the state minister in the UNP government led by late Presidents J. R. Jayewardene and Ranasinghe Premadasa he established the Panadura Moderawila Industrial City providing employment to 5,000 girls and boys through the private sector industrialists.

"In addition to this my ministry provided rural electrification projects to several areas in the Kalutara district."

He said so addressing several propaganda election meetings in the Panadura electorate.

He said the voters in Panadura were unable to elect a Parliamentarian from the UNP for several years to represent them in Parliament. At this election the voters get the opportunity in electing a UNF Parliamentarian on April 2.
