The Freedom Polls Watch has expressed deep regret that a private TV channel has been carrying statements, purportedly paid advertisements, with complete falsehoods that under a Freedom Alliance government, Muslim Madharasas will be closed, that leave will not be granted for Muslim public servants to attend the Friday weekly Jumma prayers, and that Muslim ladies will not be allowed to wear their traditional dresses and so forth. Convenor of Freedom Pools Watch, M. M. Zuhair said that these are totally false and grossly mischievous propaganda being carried out by vested interests through the private media against the Freedom Alliance. The UPFA leaders have assured the Freedom Polls Watch that there is no truth whatsoever in these media announcements carried out by unidentified groups. The Freedom Pools Watch regrets the Elections Commissioner's indifference on false propaganda of this nature arising from his failure to take action on previous complaints of this nature. |
