Two Jaffna University students injured in clash by Jaffna Special Correspondent Two Jaffna university students have been admitted to the Jaffna Teaching hospital after a clash with the police at Tinnavely, Jaffna, Three students have been taken into custody by the Kopay police. The clash started when the Jaffna university students distributed election phamphlets on the road and the police tried to disperse them. Arguments hotted up and flared into a clash. The police used tear gas and baton charged the students. The President of Jaffna University Students Union is one of those admitted to hospital. |
