CJ wants report over transfer of properties

Chief Justice Sarath N Silva as Chairman of the Mahapola Trust Fund yesterday ordered Mahapola Trust Fund Treasurer to submit a report regarding the transfer of properties.

The Chief Justice directed the authorities to provide details of bank accounts relating to this.

This action was taken following the President's request to the Chief Justice to hold an inquiry on the transfer of Mahapola funds to a private company. Meanwhile, the Mahapola Trust Fund has submitted several documents to the Chief Justice to enable him to proceed with the inquiry.
