Fox Hill Supercross 2004 to be held on a grand scale

Twelve years down the road a committed group of young army officers gathered at One Tree Hill, a prominent landmark of yesteryear, over looking Fox Hill. Great men they were! With the help of Mr. Hans Ralf, the master track designer in Sri Lanka, a purpose - designed mass-start racetrack came in to existence.

There was no looking back since then. The very best races were provided and excellent track to prove their mettle and skills. Thus Fox Hill Supercross has become the most talked about, happening event in the month of April. In the calendar of motor sports it becomes the cynosure of all eyes.

Fox Hill Supercross 2004 will be held as scheduled on 17th April 2004 with trials being held the day before at the Fox Hill range Diyatalawa. It is jointly organized by the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) and SLARDAR as part of the SLARDAR Championship.

SLMA has had preliminary discussions with SLARDAR and other sponsors, and is making elaborate arrangements to make this event a memorable one. April holidaymakers are bound to enjoy all the facilities, which will be made available. The organisers together with Mr. Hans Ralf will spare no pains and will leave no stone unturned to give the thrills and excitement that such an event demands.

Dialog GSM will be the principal sponsor of these years' races. SIRASA/MTV has already agreed to be the official media sponsors. Caravan has agreed to be the official food supplier and it is the first time that they have undertaken to supply food during this event. They will be working in collaboration with Coca-Cola and Lion Brewery who will be the official suppliers of beverages.

As per SLARDAR officials the entries will close on 5th April 2004.

The stage is being set for the Number One motor sports event in Sri Lanka. It goes without saying. And you've got to be there, come and blend with young and the old from all nooks and corners of the country. The organisers are only too happy to welcome you.
