Dinamina Vesak Kalapaya launch today

The Dinamina Vesak kalapaya issue 2004 will be ceremonially launched at the Vidyalankara pirivena Library auditorium at 3.00 pm today.

This publication continued for 72 years without any interruption up to date.

This year, the issue is priced at Rs. 50 a copy, as against the price of Rs. 125.

The launching ceremony will be presided by Ven. Velamitiyawe Kusaladamma Nayaka Thera, Chancellor of Kelaniya University, Head of Vidyalankara Pirivena and Chief Sanga Nayaka of Colombo and Chilaw. Professor Ven. Meegoda Pannaloka Thera of the Sanskrit and Buddhist Culture, Sri Jayawardenapura University will deliver the keynote address.

This issue carries a number of articles on Buddhism, Buddhist culture, Buddhist philosophy, archaeology, traditional Sinhala arts, etc. with Buddhist short stories, verse and prose.
