If the people elected UNP again the country couldn't be safeguarded and result in perilous situation. Now the opportunity is given for the people of this country to form a United People's Freedom Allinace government to save our country. This was stated by Western Province Chief Minister who is also the UFA candidate for Kalutara District Reginald Cooray addressing UFA propaganda meetings held at Yala, Ramuna and Bellapitiya areas recently. Cooray also said, "I started my career as a tuition master. As time goes on the people of Kalutara District have kept faith in me. I have become the Western Province Chief Minister. As I carried my work for SLFP as a politician, the President has made me the Chief Organiser of SLFP and UFA for Kalutara Distict. It is really an encouragement for me. So the people of Kalutara District should endorse this high post by electing me as a MP with a hig majority. During the past few years I dedicated many things for the SLFP to safeguard the party and some party members. UFA has been formed after a long discussion. It has a vision, a series of principles, a clear way to go and make the coutnry prosperous again. To create a peaceful country is one of an primary objective. So to realise all those dreams of ours, the time has come to elect a UFA government for the first time, he said. The Ven. Udugalkande Hemaloka Thera and Mr. Sunil Jayaweera also spoke. |
