by Asanga Warnakulasuriya Six men pasting scurrilous posters against a Buddhist monk contesting the election were apprehended by Maradana police on Wednesday night. Investigations revealed that two UNP supporters and a Peradeniya campus student were among the suspects. Police also found several bundles of posters about a new tabloid newspaper which slings mud at Freedom Alliance candidates. The suspects were remanded after being produced before court yesterday. |
