R & LAG eyes local ICT market by Sudarshana Perera R & LAG, an Information Technology Company in Germany is eyeing to tap local ICT market with its diverse software solutions. R & LAG partnered with E-Trade (Private) in Colombo to market and service R&L's SafeX products for digital signatures and security in Sri Lanka and neighbouring countries. This was made known at a seminar held in Colombo on Friday. Manager Customer Focus of R & LAG, Germany, Petra Dengler-vom Heu said they were interested to enter the banking and corporate sectors. Outlining its features, Heu said that SafeX is one of the most successful products in the world today for, digital signatures, security and PKI. The solutions also enables confidentiality, authenticity, integrity, non-repudiation of origin and digital signatures of electronic documents. In addition, SafeX incorporates all the key management features. It guarantees that original data has not been manipulated. "SafeX supports many well-known formats and standards, and operating systems. This allows a simple integration into existing infrastructure", she said. Chief Executive Officer of E*Trade, Nalaka Devendra, said that SafeX is a natural extension of their E-Commerce portfolio and will allow the firm to further the goal of assisting Asian companies to use today's technology to advance their business efficiencies and profitability.
