The Postal Department will issue a special stamp on March 7 at 9.00 a.m. at the Sinhalese Sports Club grounds to commemorate the Ananda - Nalanda 75th Annual Battle of Maroons cricket encounter.

Ananda and Nalanda have greatly contributed to the development of Sri Lanka cricket and probably produced the most number of Test cricketers.

Postal Department has issued this stamp on a joint request made by Ananda and Nalanda. The value of this stamp is Rs. 4.50 and this has been designed by Pulasthi Ediriweera.
