World Table Tennis Championships: Sri Lankan paddlers rout Kenya 3-0 Sri Lanka Men's team continued their winning spree in the fourth Division Group one crushing Kenya 3-0 in the World Table Tennis Team Championship here at the Qatar Exhibition Centre. The trio Thilina Piyadasa, Chalitha Ranjana and Indika Prasad sealed the victory in just 40 minutes. The first game between Chalitha Ranjana (SL) and Victor Ouko (KEN) was a one sided affair. Today we saw Chalitha has improved in comparison to his two previous matches, concentrating the moves of his opponent and thrashed Victor Uuko mercilessly to win the game. Thilina Piyadasa was over confident winning his two games with Fahad Daim (KEN) and misjudging the shots of his opponent made way for Fahad Daim to take the third game. What a beauty, to see the scores reading 9/0 for Thilina Piyadasa in the fourth game, there was no class at all and Thilina made the Kenyan layer guessing what will be his next shot. Pint sized Indika Prasad is a treat to watch and had the Sri Lankan supporters spell bound with his dashing shots. It was an advantage being a south paw and make his opponent so difficult to play. Indika Prasad convincingly defeated Shah Parit from Kenya 11/5, 11/8 and 11/3. Coach Ratnasiri is happy with the performance of the players and said "It was an easy game but we are looking forward to tomorrow's game against Ireland". Whoever wins tomorrow would top the group and it is the same with the Women's team. They will play against Tunisia tomorrow at 19.00 p.m. (Qatar time). Results of the match: Sri Lanka beat Kenya 3-0 Chalitha Ranjana (SL) beat Victor Ouko - 11/5, 11/5 and 11/6. Thilina Piyadasa (SL) beat Fahad Daim (KEN) - 11/9, 11/6, 6/11 and 11/1.
