Freedom Alliance will set up real people's government - former JVP MP Vijitha Herath

Gampaha group corr

Our alliance will start the rebuilding of our motherland which has been destroyed by the UNP for future generations. There is no debate on this said Ex MP Vijitha Herath JVP.

He was speaking at the opening of the Janatha Vimukti Peramuna office at Araliya Uyana, Gampaha.

Herath said the Janatha Vimukti Peramuna founded by our leader Rohana Wijeweera with 7 members of 14 May 1965 has today become a main political fire in the country.

He further said the secret Elephant Tiger agreement has in 2 years taken the country to destruction. We should somehow stop this destruction. With that aim in view for the last 10 months we drew up a plan with the SLFP and signed an agreement.

With this historic Alliance 4 other progressive parties have joined and others are also following us.

Under these circumstances the formation of an Alliance government next month is certain no one can stop it, he said.

This new government will not be the like earlier governments. It will be real peoples government with no thuggery, corruption and racketeers will have no place. We are prepared for any sacrifice and the people's good wishes are with us. This office will be peoples office irrespective of party differences.
