New Chairman for Development Lotteries Board, National Lotteries Board

The new Chairman and Board of Directors of the Development Lotteries Board and the new Chairman of the National Lotteries Board have been appointed, a Presidential Media Unit release stated yesterday.

W. P. S. Jayawardena, a former Secretary to the Ministries of Civil Aviation and Plantation Industries has been appointed Chairman while Harim Peiris, Ranjith Thenuwara and A.A.Wickremasinghe have been appointed as members of the Board of Directors, in the Development Lotteries Board.

Peiris, Chairman of Rupavahini Corporation functioned in the Directorate of the Development Lotteries Board on an earlier occasion. Thenuwara is a Director of the Mahapola Trust Fund while A. A. Wickremasinghe is the Director of the Presidential Investigation Unit.

Daya Liyanage appointed Chairman of the National Lotteries Board was earlier the High Commissioner for Sri Lanka in Malaysia and a former Deputy Secretary to the Treasury.
