Westmann Engineering annual turnover increases to Rs. 150 million by Irangika Range Since the establishment of the local office, Westmann Engineering Co. (Pvt) Ltd's annual turnover has risen to Rs. 150 million including a 15 percent local operational turnover. The workforce has increased over 100 percent during the last three years. The supplier and customer base has been growing. To facilitate handling expansion and growth an organisational structure has been introduced to handle various sectors within the company. According to Chairman and Managing Director Lalith Seneviratne, the company will promote the food and beverage industry. The main success of their business is in the bottling industry. "Manpower would be saved and it would increase efficiency and productivity. Local industrialists can reach high productivity if they use proper output machines," he said. He said this exposure is to give benefits to industrialists and consumers. "Attractive and full quality package materials and complete turn key bottling lines are supported to upgrade sales of industrialists and this is basically to make consumer awareness. Expiry date, manufacturing date, price and batch number are most important for production. This is done by machines and cannot be changed," said Seneviratne. Director of the company Hamilton Dias said the company has developed their machinery through different models and new technology on the request of industrialists. "We gain technological knowledge from our German based parent company and by visiting international technological exhibitions," he said. The company offers products and service through various divisions such as complete turn key bottling lines, packing machinery and material, food processing and local engineering solutions inclusive of design, manufacturing, leasing facilities, training, commissioning, after sales support and 24 hours service. Westmann Engineering Co. (Pvt) Ltd started in 1996 has three main divisions, engineering, inkjet printing and Westmann travels and tours. |
