Addressing an election rally at Kaduwela on Saturday he said the Freedom Alliance has now gained a strong foothold in 113 electorates. The UPFA election campaign targets to enhance that number to 130. This is the first ever General Election at people's request since independence. It will also be the worst defeat for the UNP for which the Ranil Wickremesinghe leadership is responsible," he said. Weerawansa called on all those who decry a puppet regime of racist aspirations to rally round and vote for the United People's Freedom Alliance. The Freedom Alliance is the only force that can take the country in the proper direction, said Weerawansa. |
