Golfer Kumara is All-India champion by Richard Dwight Sri Lanka's Lalith Kumara crowned himself with glory when he won the All-India amateur golf championships at Calcutta yesterday. Kumara who was no. 3 seed for the tournament defeated South Africa's no. 1 amateur golfer comfortably in the final. Kumara has proved himself as a prospective pro-circuit golfer by winning the All-India title for the second time in his career. He had earlier won it in 2000. He beat an international field of golfers from England, Scotland, Wales and Asia. Kumara is also won the Bangladesh amateur golf championships recently. |
