Altec Lansing targets market leadership Altec Lansing Technologies Inc. a US based company in manufacturing Computer Sound Systems in partnership with Mitech Computer Systems (Pvt) Ltd in Colombo will aggressively market and promote "Altec Lansing" audio products and solutions for PCs and related technology in Sri Lanka. This was made known at a launch held at Trans Asia Hotel in Colombo this week. "Since we see a potential market for our products in Sri Lanka, the company through its local partner Mitech Computer Ltd is targetting to achieve around 40% market share in Sri Lanka" said Vice President-Sales and Business Development -Asia Pacific of Altec, Anthony J. Wilkinson. "We have achieved 35% market share in Asia Pacific and I am optimistic , Sri Lanka being an emerging market for ICT based products , We can achieve higher sales volume. "Altec will continue to introduce exciting and quality sound products and solutions for PC users here to experience a unique, memorable and high quality audio solution. Today the people are going for computer based digital home theater systems and our products will add a new dimension in this regard", he said. "Our company will also introduce innovative products such as "Uncompressed New Warless Systems. Our sound artisans will continue the legacy of blending art with science for quality sounds" he said. "The Company continues to expand its strategic partnership with industry leaders such Dolby Labs, TXL, DTS, Dell,HP, Compaq and MPC to add high performance audio to their product offerings", he said.
