Virtusa Corporation, a global software engineering and service provider will venture into a major expansion project in Colombo by setting up its second Advanced Technology Centre in Colombo next week.

The new office at the World Trade Centre will generate over 250 job opportunities for personnel qualified in the ICT field.

"In addition to our office at Trans Asia Hotel, we have decided to set up this centre to cater to the increase in the number clients in Sri Lanka and abroad", said Managing Director-Asian Operations of Virtusa Corporation, Keith Modder in an interview with the Daily News.

"Virutsa has allocated around US $ 7 to 8 million to meet expanding requirements in Sri Lanka since we have a 6000 client base in Colombo. This technology centre will have the capacity to serve more than 850 clients thus catering to increasing global demand ", Modder said.
