People's trust in President remains unchanged - Lasantha Alagiyawanne

Attanagalla special correspondent Rural masses in Attanagalla had placed their utmost trust and faith in President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga as she did not fail to address their problems. This trust and faith would remain unchanged in future too, stated Western Provincial Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna at the opening of the Pannila Kamburagalla road which was renovated utilizing provincial council funds.

Minister Alagiyawanna said that during the previous PA regime concrete steps were taken to improve the conditions of roads in this area. But the present government pays lip-service for such projects, he said.

He pledged WPC's financial support in carrying out urgent development activities in the area. He also said that he had thought of getting the maximum use of PC funds allocated to the area, as directed by President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga. Chief Sanghanayake Siyane Sivukorale Ven. Dr. Pannila Ananda Thera, provincial councillor Sanjaya Siriwardena also spoke.
