'MoU will save the country from further deterioration'

Deraniyagala Rowing correspondent

The country has not seen any social or economic development of UNF administration in the last two years instead there is wide spread corruption and misdeeds.

Today, the country is heading towards disaster.

All three communities live in suspicion and frustration. in order to relieve the country from this upheaval the SLFP and JVP have signed an MoU.

By this MoU, the country could be saved from further deterioration and destruction, said Deraniyagala SLFP organiser H.R. Mitrapala at a PA meeting held at Seetha Rest, Deraniyagala recently.

The LTTE have lost confidence in Ranil's government, which is evident from their withdrawing from the talks several months ago.

President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga initiated the peace talks, and will definitely find an early solution to the ethnic problem", Mitrapala concluded.
