Famous Pacific Shipping expands in Australia Famous Pacific Shipping (FPS) has further committed to the growing Queensland, Australia market by opening a new warehouse and office complex in Brisbane. Airfreight and seafreight activities will be catered for at the new complex, which has 500 sq m of office space and 100 sq m of ware house operations. FPS Queensland Ltd., is part of the large Australian branch of the expanding Asian-based global logistics and freight forwarding group, Famous Pacific Shipping. "Brisbane, as the capital of Queensland continues to experience good economic growth and with it a boost to trade," said Michele Dougla, Director, FPS Queensland. "This positive trend has given us the confidence to buy our own premises and we have chosen a location very close to the airport, port and city. "Here, things are moving fast as some of the traditional agricultural industries are being superseded by more value-added activities. We are determined to show we have the flexibility to share in these developments. "Our new complex will enable us to continue to offer flexible solutions to meet our clients transport needs, "Developments at the port will boost trade and our dedicated team of freight forwarding and customs professionals is now well placed to find transport solutions for our large customer base", Dougal said. "The advantages of being in the worldwide FPS network mean that we can continue to offer very competitive sea and air freight rates to and from Queensland with all major carriers," he said.
