Under-17 Asia Cup : Mathew plays captain's innings Skipper Angelo Mathew hit a sparkling century (131) to guide Sri Lanka to a convincing 90 runs win over UAE in a match of the under 17 Asia Cup played in India yesterday. Sri Lanka's total of 254-9 in 45 overs was based largely on Mathew's innings. The second highest score was only 27 from Madava Warnapura. UAE were restricted to a total of 164-6 in 45 overs with spinners Sachith Pathirana (3 for 36 off 9 overs) and Warnapura (2 for 17 off 5 overs) doing the damage. Sri Lanka's next match is against Bangladesh on Thursday. On Monday, Sri Lanka won their opening match of the competition beating Saudi Arabia by seven wickets. Sri Lanka 254-9 in 45 overs (A.
