by Chris Dhambarage

Isipatana College recorded a historic innings and 23 run win over S. Thomas' College Mount Lavinia in their Elephant Lemonade Cup inter school cricket tournament match concluded at Havelock Park yesterday.

This is the first ever win for Isipatana in an inter school first eleven match against S. Thomas' College.

The Thomians who resumed their first innings at 53 for 4 lost wickets at regular intervals and were dismissed for 141 runs. Navin Perera hit a top score of 72 with the aid of nine boundaries. The two pacemen Nilanchana Sankalpa and Tharaka Waduge were the chief wreckers capturing four wickets each.

The Thomians after being asked to follow on failed to put up a decent score in the second innings too and were shot out for just 114 runs. Tharaka Waduge completed a memorable game while claiming a four wicket haul in the second innings too.

Isipatana: 278.
