Dulan and Chaushalya win two TT titles each

Dulan Nakandala of Royal College and Chaushalya de Silva of Musaeus College won two titles each at the Joerex Table Tennis Tournament held recently at the YMCA Fort Colombo. Nakandala won the under-13 and under-17 boys titles whilte Chaushalya de Silva won the under-15 and under-17 girls titles.

However, there was a fine performance by Devi Balika Vidyalaya, Colombo Kusali Ranmini who came on top of the under-13 girls, pushing Musaeus' Chaushalya de Silva into second place.

In the open category, former Royalist Rohan Sirisena came on top of the men's category with Y.S. Jayakody of Bandaranayake College, Gampaha in second place. Jayakody came on top of the under-19 boys group with S.R. Ganegoda of Royal College being placed second.

Among the women, Himasha Harshani of Holy Cross College, Gampaha took the top spot with Nipuni Jayamanne of the same school in second place, while Nipuni came on top in the under-19 girls with Kaushalya Nettasinghe also of Holy Cross College, Gampaha finishing second.

The tourney was sponsored by Pacific Sports Company (Quality Sports Goods Distributor), Maradana and Kollupitiya.
