CID team on trail of ministers' sons

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) which took over the investigations into the attack by two Ministers' sons yesterday deployed a special CID team to arrest them.

IGP Indra de Silva has appointed a high-powered team to investigate the incident where the sons of the two Cabinet Ministers allegedly ran riot outside a City night club causing a breach of peace.

According to reports, the sons of Ministers S.B. Dissanayake and Mahinda Wijesekera are alleged to have assaulted some relatives of Minister Kabeer Hashim injuring several persons who were at the night club.
