The special police team will submit a report to Colombo Fort Magistrate and Additional District Judge Sarath C. Karunaratne today naming the suspects, who are allegedly involved in the incident and move court for summons against them.

According to investigations among the injured were two brothers in -law of Hashim.

The suspects also damaged several vehicl parked nearby.

Hashim told the Daily News that his brothers-in-law were attacked. Mutual friends of both sides are trying to settle the issue amicably," he said. The Minister denied any pressure on him to withdraw the complaint.

"Let the law take its course," he added.

Minister Wijesekera said that it was a quarrel between young men which injured both parties and need not to be made an issue of.

"They had been studying abroad where they go dancing. As a father I am worried about these incidents. I am willing to produce my son at the police if a request is made," Minister said.

The Minister said these issues should be heard before a mediation board and only if a settlement fails one should go to courts. "I like to talk to the other party and settle the issue amicably," he added.
