BT Options products in Fortune magazine The Handspring Treo 600 and the Apple Power Mac G5 feature in the Fortune magazine's best technology of the year 2003. Both products are sold by BT Options, the authorised resellers in Sri Lanka for Apple and Palm. Talking about the Handspring Treo 600, the best phone available, the December 22 issue of Fortune said, "There are PDAs with phone capabilities and phones with PDA capabilities, but rarely do the two marry as well as in this device." The Treo 600 allows you to speak on the phone while checking your calendar and memo pad, dial calls and address messages from a contact list, take a picture and send it to a friend - all without swapping between applications. This quad-band GSM/GPRS world phone is also a powerful Palm OS organiser, has a digital camera and supports high-speed wireless connectivity such as email, SMS, MMS, and browsing the net. The Apple Power Mac G5, the best desktop computer around, "is a masterpiece of form and function," says Fortune. "Its 64-bit PowerPC G5 processor (designed with IBM), combined with high-speed internet data systems, makes it one of the fastest computers on the planet. The twin-processor, two-giga-hertz flagship G5 is the dream machine for creative people." Fortune proclaims the Apple iTunes Music Store as the 'Product of the Year'. With over 400,000 songs from five major music labels and numerous independent labels sold at only 99 US cents each or US$9.99 for a typical album, this website has revolutionised how consumers download digital music from the internet. "Consumers benefited ethically, by having a viable alternative to stealing music; and aesthetically, by being able to search forpreview and download music with unprecedented ease. |
