Eden Resort receives top world award Leading UK tour operator SAGA Holidays has for the fourth consecutive year, placed Confifi Group's flagship hotel, Eden resort and Spa amongst the top ten hotels of the world. SAGA holidays was established over 50 years ago and they specialise in offering exclusive holiday packages to a wealthy mature clientele. Their portfolio of services includes exotic holiday destinations from around the world to star class cruises on luxury liners. SAGA Holidays selection criteria for the prestigious top 10 awards include excellent quality, world-class service and maximum customer satisfaction. The SAGA Annual Awards are held every year in order to reward their partners and suppliers who have achieved extremely high standards that in turn have helped SAGA achieve their customer satisfaction goals. Stefan Furkhan, who accepted the award for Eden at an awards ceremony held during World Travel in London Mart recently, said that it was an honour to be amongst the SAGA top 10 hotels of the world for the fourth time running, especially considering the stiff competition from SAGA's increasing global network. Eden has been chosen from over 1500 top of the range hotels from around the world including Australia, USA and Latin America and international names such as Marriott, Shangrila and Four seasons. The awards are based purely on comments made by guests on a questionnaire filled at the end of a holiday. In order to compete, each hotel should have at least 90 percent of these questionnaires filled and questions are formed to ascertain satisfaction in the areas of service, comfort, cuisine, entertainment and other related criteria. Meanwhile Confifi Group Hotels has entered into an agreement to manage and operate an Ayurveda promotional and treatment facility at five star luxury resort "Die Wutzschleife" in Germany. A first for Sri Lanka's hospitality industry, this venture is another milestone for the Confifi Group who established their first wholly equipped Ayurveda Villa at Riverina Hotel in 1991 followed by the Ayurveda Spa at Eden resort in 2001. This agreement also gives potential German holidaymakers the opportunity to visit the facility at Die Wutzschleife and experience the Ayurveda treatments and philosophy prior to booking their holiday and more extensive treatment at the Confifi resorts in Sri Lanka. A 170 room luxury resort complex "Die Wutschleife" is located in the Tri-City area, Nuremberg - Regensburg - Munich. "With this pioneering partnership the Confifi Group not only strengthens relations with their German partners and guests but takes a first step towards taking Sri Lanka's age old Ayurveda wellness treatments to the world," Furkan said. Sri Lankan qualified Ayurveda physician Dr. Aruna Bandara who is now resident in Germany and fluent in the German language heads the Ayurveda facility. Confifi Group is one of Sri Lanka's leading companies, which own and operates four hotel properties within close proximity to each other along the beautiful coastal belt of Beruwela. Their hotels are Confifi Beach, Club Palm Garden, Sri Lanka's largest beach resort Riverina and the five star spa resort Eden. The Group also manages and opertates a well equipped Marina and Water Sports Center and a travel & tour Company under the name Travelanka. |
