SLBFE Chairman resigns Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) Chairman Susantha Fernando remanded under the Bribery and Corruption Act has resigned. Labour Ministry Additional Secretary M.A.R.D. Jayathilaka has been appointed SLBFE Chairman with immediate effect by Employment and Labour Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe yesterday. An SLBFE official said Fernando tendered his resignation to enable the judiciary to carry out an impartial investigation into allegations against him under the Public Property Act. |
